ICON Voice Networks Announces the Acquisition of Iwatsu America, Inc. Irving, TX
(May 3, 2011) – ICON Voice Networks, LLC (Irving, TX, www.iconvn.com) today
announced it has acquired the assets of Iwatsu America, Inc. (d.b.a. Iwatsu Voice Networks). Iwatsu
America, Inc. was the exclusive distributor of Iwatsu Electric, Co., Ltd., (Tokyo, Japan) for the North
American market. Since 1975 Iwatsu America, Inc. handled the sales, distribution, service and warranty
support of Iwatsu products in North America. ICON Voice Networks is a company comprised of the
former senior management of Iwatsu America, Inc. This agreement was previously announced by Iwatsu
Electric Co., Ltd. on February 25, 2011.
Under the terms of the agreement, ICON Voice Networks becomes the exclusive distributor of Iwatsu
products in North America, and provider of ongoing warranty support, technical support and repair of
Iwatsu products in North America. In addition, ICON Voice Networks will provide continued
development of the Iwatsu Enterprise-CS IP-PBX product line and related applications under a license
agreement with Iwatsu Electric. Iwatsu Electric will continue to manufacture products sold in North
America by ICON Voice Networks.
